bluesky Helps Eric Wright Construction Achieve BREEAM Excellent

Two recently completed primary healthcare centres have achieved a design stage BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ following design guidance and assessment from bluesky.

Barbara Castle Way Health Centre in Blackburn is a £21m development providing a range of health and social services. Rossendale Health Centre is a £10.4m scheme housing a range of services including X-ray and diagnostics, birthing unit, podiatry, out of hours GP service and health education.

Both buildings incorporate a range of environmental features including air source heat pumps, energy efficient building fabric and services, water-saving sanitary ware, landscaped outdoor areas, cyclist facilities, and planted areas to enhance the ecological impact of the sites.

bluesky provided sustainable design guidance and BREEAM support throughout the design and construction phases, dating back to 2008.
