blue sky designed flagship building opens

The blue sky designed Oldham Integrated Care Centre (ICC) opened its doors to the first patients on Monday 2nd November.

The centre is one of the largest primary care facilities being delivered by LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) in the UK and represents the largest investment in primary care in Oldham in recent years.

The state-of-the-art development sits amongst other local civic buildings such as the council civic centre, bus station and law courts, and the building has been designed to fit sympathetically into its surroundings and bring together a ‘civic quarter’ for Oldham.

The finished building is visible for miles around and is a focal point for the Oldham skyline. It is envisaged that this striking and innovative building will have a huge catalytic impact on the regeneration of the Oldham town centre.

This new centre benefited from the integrated design approach of blue sky, who provided architectural design, healthcare planning, and environmental consultancy services for the project.
